Product Version: NetBeans IDE 7.1.2 (Build 201204101705) Java: 1.7.0_04; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.0-b21 System: Mac OS X version 10.7.4 running on x86_64; US-ASCII; en_US (nb) I have no information that JDK7u5 should be able to run FX2 webstart and applets. Target -check-jdk-7u4-mac obviously doesn't work with JDK7u5, so IDE attempts to run via these methods (and the apps crashes) instead of showing message about limited support. Probably nothing can be done here at this point, but please evaluate.
This was caused by misleading information about what will be supported in which Mac JDK. So now I assume that 7u4 and 7u5 will not support WS and plugin, but 7u6 will. Fixed build scripts accordingly in jet-main: http://hg.netbeans.org/jet-main/rev/ea9a8f783323
Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *201206120719* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/ea9a8f783323 User: Petr Somol <psomol@netbeans.org> Log: #213845 - NB 7.1.2 allows to run FX projects via Browser and WebStart on Mac OS X with JDK7u5
verified, 7.1.2 will remain as is, but 7.2 will prevent the usage of JDK7u5
