It took a long time to show some useful options. Looks like it took some time to download the XML/Schema and a lot more time to parse it? The overall experience was terrible.

Parsing itself is quite fast - unless the schema itself references some external entities. Some schemas do, e.g. they use schema DOCTYPE, which is not strictly necessary. I also encountered schemas with DOCTYPE that even include external entity references, so all those links must be downloaded.

If you experience large delays before CC items show up, could you please attach the schema which causes such behaviour ?

I can't reproduce it now. I will try to figure out what happened that day, because I was able to reproduce it before easily before. Maybe something was running that day in my workstation and I haven't noticed...
