I created a new web project with glassfish as server.
I added a servlet from project context menu and tried run it by right clicking on the project navigator.

It give the error that it does not have an entry in web.xml although I have made an entry via the wizard .

When you restart IDE, it starts to work. But definitely it is a bug.

You are right. It works fine when IDE is restarted after creating the project.
Sorry, I could not find the existing bug while searching.
