Just installed 201204030400 and tried to import my old settings from ${HOME}/.netbeans/dev. -Windows layout were not imported correctly (no window appears, just ) -Installed plugins were not imported -JavaME platform registered were not imported Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201204030400) Operating System = Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0_03 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM 22.1-b02
Apparently the issue was with importing installed plugins Once I manually installed the desired plugins, everything else seems to go right.

An offer to import settings was a just temporary once we were moving ./netbeans/dev to other system specific path. I see it was a bug but doesn't sense to fix it. If the problem appears again once NB7.2 released and doesn't import plugins from NB7.1 then reopen and attach messages.log and all details.
