Searching (find in files) opens a file selector dialog titled "open" when starting the search. Reproduce: Select some files in projects view, ctrl-f, enter criteria, click "find". Dialog appears. After closing the dialog the search is performed.
I do not see any dialogs after pushing Find in : Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201203220400) Java: 1.7.0_04-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 23.0-b17 System: Linux version 3.0.0-15-generic running on amd64; UTF-8; en_US (nb) Could you please provide more data : NetBeans version/build number, JDK version/build number, OS .... and reopen? Thanks in advance.
The file-chooser dialog appears only if you leave search scope "Browse..." selected in the Find in Projects dialog. It should happen only if you have no open projects, or if you have used scope "Browse..." in the latest search. Do you have any open projects, or did you select the scope manually? Thank you.
http://hg.netbeans.org/core-main/rev/127eefb34f89 Title of the file chooser fixed. If you encounter other problems with search scope "Browse...", please reopen.
Integrated into 'main-golden', will be available in build *201203240400* on http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/nightly/ (upload may still be in progress) Changeset: http://hg.netbeans.org/main-golden/rev/127eefb34f89 User: Jaroslav Havlin <jhavlin@netbeans.org> Log: #209640 - File chooser title and button text
