Description t.grinwis 2012-01-10 17:10:34 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 7.1 (Build 201112071828)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.7.0
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 21.0-b17
Plugin jvi, nbvi-1.4.5.rc2

When pressing, save, or (jvi, :w) a just edited file was not saved. Also when looking into the history (Tab->Editors->History) I did
not see the change I made to the file. When I change the file, the "Save all" button is not changed to active.

Previously I did use floating of windows, split horizontal / vertical.

I vague remember that there was an issue on this in 7.1beta. but was resolved in a nightly build, so I would expect it is solved in R 7.1.
I encountered this problem in 7.1beta, on windows/linux (Ubuntu 10.04). Therefore I switched back to 7.0.1 version.

I could not read anything in .netbeans/7.1/var/log about this save failure.

This to me is an important bug, since you can loose a lot of work when do not pay attention to this problem.

Did you use 'Clone editor' feature?

Yes, I assume I used 'Clone editor' (under the hood), since I use
:split, :vsplit in via jvi.

Thanks for info, you're probably facing issue 205835. It is already fixed in daily build, unfortunately the fix didn't make it to the 7.1fcs but it will be part of 7.1 patch1
