Currently, when doing NetBeans Platform development, I use Maven and can
download and navigate to Platform sources when I need to look for example
usages or implementation details. Unfortunately it is much more difficult to do
this in plain (non-Maven) platform modules. It would be useful to have the
platform sources downloaded with the NetBeans Platform Documentation Plugin, or
in its own separate plugin for use with non-Maven Platform projects.

No plans to reimplement basic Maven functionality for Ant-based projects.

Does that mean the IDE is going to be ported to Maven?
