Description maghiel 2011-09-23 04:20:26 UTC
Please see: http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=202457

IMHO the hint text is a bit confusing. It makes me think the editor tries
to hint me about a variable that is being used outside of its scope.
Maybe the text should be altered to avoid confusion. By example to "Variable
$foo seems to be unused in its scope".

"it's scope" is a grammatical error I believe. "It's" means "it is" or "it
has". In other words, it reads "Variable $foo does not seem to be used in it is
scope." currently. (My mother language is Dutch though, so I could be wrong here).

I understand you, "it's" is a typo, but there is no "'" there...maybe you were badly looking on that ;-) Just look at screenshots on our blog.http://blogs.oracle.com/netbeansphp/entry/do_you_have_any_unused There is no apostrophe ;)

But I agree that "seems to be unused" sounds better...current text is there just for "backward compatibility" with the old hint...but I will rewrite it :)

Thanks for your interrest!
