I found the issue under the posted URL. I am note sure, wether it is a bug or a feature :-)

If it is considered a feature, there should be an option to disable it, because this can leave unwanted trailing whitespace in a file when you forget to move your cursor to POS0.

I agree there should be option to enable or disable this behaviour. 

Fair enough if this is designed behaviour (http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=197469), personally I see it as a bug, but meh.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
