This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
I found the issue under the posted URL. I am note sure, wether it is a bug or a feature :-) It anoise me, so I post it: http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=157561#c19 [...] > Note that if you have your cursor on an indented line (with only whitespace), > the whitespace on this line won't be > removed. Is this a bug, or is it just that users want their cursor to be in > exactly the same place? [...]
If it is considered a feature, there should be an option to disable it, because this can leave unwanted trailing whitespace in a file when you forget to move your cursor to POS0.
I agree there should be option to enable or disable this behaviour. Fair enough if this is designed behaviour (http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=197469), personally I see it as a bug, but meh.
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
