Description stefan79 2011-03-09 14:29:30 UTC
I installed Version 201103090000.

Then I clicked on my (existing) project at "Resolve reference problems".
After installing, i got the following message:
"org.netbeans.modules.junitlib - The module named org.netbeans.libs.junit4 was needed and not found.".

There were only the two options "Disable modul or continue" or "Exit".
I pressed on "Exit" -> IDE was closed.
After starting NetBeans, the JUnit-Module is marked as installed, and I think it works.

Jaroslav, please take a look at this issue. According to the log there is some timeout in autoupdate.
Comment 3 Jaroslav Tulach 2011-03-10 17:10:20 UTC
Nasty, but if restart helps, things are more or less OK, aren't they?
Comment 4 asenk 2011-03-14 14:24:02 UTC
I had a similar problem, but I'm not able to reproduce this bug. But I remember that the way to this bug is very difficult and includes some problem with network connection during downloading JUnit. I think this bug isn't problem.

I guess it's not reproducible anymore in recent nightly builds. If I'm wrong, reopen with steps to reproduce. Thanks

I haven't seen it again.
Comment 8 stefan79 2011-11-04 13:34:02 UTC
Me too.

Same problem with Netbeans 7.1.1. Reinstalling JUnit plugin doesn't help, also deleting ~/.netbeans/7.1.1/var/cache is not helpful. The very same project works on different computer. After upgrading to 7.2 (even though I've approved installing JUnit) the JUnit package seems to be missing in all test files. JUnit plugin is normally visible in plugin manager.

I'm running Netbeans on Linux 3.0.0-24, java 1.6.0_26

Make sure that the plug-ins are installed in shared directories. I had this issue back then if it was not installed there. The problem is solved on 7.2.
Comment 11 Jiri Rechtacek 2012-09-14 13:27:37 UTC
Mostly solved in NetBeans 7.3, NetBeans IDE installer can install JUnit into platform cluster during IDE installation if an user accepts JUnit license and the
installer is connected to the internet. This way solves read-only installation
of IDE.
If rest of cases, users can use Project Broken References wizard.
