Steps to reproduce:
- Download latest build (January 31)
- Install it
- Open Netbeans
- Stacktrace appear

Environment:
JDK 1.6.0_23
Ubuntu 8.10
Proxy configuration: "Use System Proxy Settings"

Changing proxy configuration to "No proxy" seems to solve the problem!

I'm directly connected to the internet on my Ubuntu, no proxy configuration. I've tried this both at work and at home, same result. Running same OS both places.

Could you attach your messages.log? There is a option what setup was found in your Ubuntu. It will help to fix your case and similar to it. Thanks

I just tried one more time to reproduce this, but wasn't able to do so. Let's just resolve this issue as cannot reproduce, and not spend more time on it until I see it again!

No other report for some time, I hope it's fixed now. If I'm wrong, please reopen with attached messages.log. Thanks
