There is no plan to do this?
Spring module already updated its dependent library.
The better is that retained 3.2 version(3.2.6.ga) for JPA 1.0 user, and 3.5.1 for JPA 2.0 user.

3.5.2 final is release now.
The Spring module also update to the latest, and the spring 3.0 hibernate support require  hibernate 3.5.x.

Please provide two branches for users, hibernate 3.6 and HIbernate 4
