User Comments:
geoffw: just loaded the IDE with one simple java project and one maven2 web project. It's stuck on scanning projects. it said it was scanning my homedir when I clicked on the scanning projects toolbar status - dont know why it would need to. I installed scan on demand plugin as well

is this happening on each netbeans start?
was there any i/o intensive application running in background? the profiler snapshot shows it took more than 600ms to create a native dialog window which seems very ridiculous...
can you pls provide more details about your hardware? especially the amount of your RAM.
