Reproduce: 1. Create new JFrame 2. Add a button and dock it to whole frame (keep border) 3. Try to change the default border: button -> Space around component 4. Set a new size -> all values to 2 -> ok seems fine 5. Try to change again -> all values to 3 -> some values are set to default Workaround: change all values to the default and then change them to your values
Reproducible.
Bad thing about this issue is that after some form changes border values are set to the bad one and you need this workaround to set values to the correct again and again after changes... really annoying for P4
