Sometimes when I undock a window, I have a difficulty to dock it to the exact place I need. I frequently make a mistake - when I (for example) try to place a window to some tab group (like the default group "Projects-Files-Services"), it is placed as another tab group instead of aanother tab. The areas where I need to drop the window are sometimes too small. It would be really nice if there was some visual guidance for the window docking. I am attaching you a screenshot capturing how the MS Visual Studio handles a docking - I think it could be a good inspiration.
Created attachment 61056 [details] Screenshot of a Visual Studio 2008 (express) - there is an undocked window and a visual guidance (I am trying to dock the window to the top on the screenshot)
Just a small note: the mouse cursor is on the top of the screenshot, right above the "docking guidance icon" in the top (it is not captured in the screenshot - I forgot about this).
