I reverted back to 200106200100, because with NB build 200106220100 I encountered this; After first startup, Tools->Options->Templates->Servlet->execution->compiler changed from External to FastJavac compilation. In addition each and every Servlet.java->properties->execution->compiler changed from External to FastJavac. I then needed to change these one-by-one, the 'select all' option to change them all at once does not work. BTW, the External compilatio target directory is set, and FastJavac's was not, so there is an additional side-effect for me to contend with. Why were these changed? Could this be corrected please, and should newer builds not honour existing user settings. When settings and options change seemingly automatically in the background will it not lead to endless situations of 'looking for what caused this problem I now have'? Kind regards Emmanuel
It seems like the problem occured because the Internationalization module was not installed. Because when I closed NB, restored the userdir, started 200106200100 and installed the Internationalization module, stopped NB, restarted 200106220100, the settings were 100% Please see issue #13132 Hope this helps.
Please see issue #12932, not #13132.
I cannot reproduce this, attempted several times.
Why does build 200106220100 change Option->Templates->Servlet->Execution->Compiler from what it was, viz., External to FastJavac Compilation?
Can anyone from java module take a look at this?
Cannot reproduce on build 2001/06/28-07:20. Please verify that the bug is still there. If the bug resulted from settings imported from some previous build, I need that other build # as well. Feel free to reopen if you have more feedback. (I tried clean start, import of previous settings - from 06/27, I think - and start with I18N disabled)
Thank you for the feedback. I now use 200106280720 and this does not occur anymore. Even with I18N disabled/enabled. Kind regards Emmanuel
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
