Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200803100002) Java: 1.5.0_13; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_13-119 System: Mac OS X version 10.5.2 running on i386; MacCentralEurope; cs_CZ (nb) According to Apple FAQ, the Help key has the same functionality on Mac as the Insert key on PC: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306823 says: > If my keyboard has no Insert key, how can I turn the Insert function on and off? > Use the Help key if your keyboard doesn't have an Insert key. However, if you press a Help key in NB, a mouse cursor changes to the "question mark" and the insert/rewrite mode switching does not work. A MacOS Help key should behave like a PC Insert key, at least when the editor is active.

Well, at least in some aspect the post was helpful :o) - as I can read: vstejskal> So, how do you normally toggle typing mode on Mac? What key do the other apps use? jiriprox> Waiting for feedback from mac-users jiriprox> As I can see in http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75459, there is no default shortcut ... in the original issue (http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=73082). The "Help" key has the functionality of the Insert key, according to the Apple FAQ (search for it in provided link)...
