There is an option in a project's context menu (the menu that pops up
when you right click on a project name), about the middle (in the same
group as "Close"), that is either "Set as Main Project" or "Unset as
Main Project".

However, this option is not always in the menu.  The case I have
noticed is that it is missing with a brand new install of NB.  Once
you have selected a main project (using Run->Set Main Project) the
option appears and seems to behave for ever more.  Smells like some
sort of initialisation problem...
