Hello GUI Tribe,

below is the summary of my result for the GUI test spec, with cases 6-9 covered.

General Issues
  • I've seen IDE command items are not uniformly referred when mentioned in test specifications. Some use a pattern like "Tools-->Options" others simply use "Options".
  • There are several cases where some IDE commands & menu-items doesn't match for all operating systems. For example,
    • IDE preferences is located at Tools-->Options for windows where as it is located at NetBeans--> Preferences in Mac OS.
    • Multi-Item selection in GUI builder is ctrl+click in windows where as it is Command+click for Mac OS.

Case Specific Issues
  1. TS 65 configurable
    1. Test suite: See / set global options
      1. Case 1- 19
        • No GUI Builder Tab at "Tools-->Options--> Miscellaneous" entry
          • This entry has moved to "Tools-->Options-->Java-->GUI Builder"
      1. Case 20
        • "Tools--> Palete Customizer" should be just "Tools--> Palette"
      1. Case 21
        • "Tools--> Templates Manager" should be just "Tools-->Templates"
  2. TS 61 grouplayout
    1. Test suite: Group Layout Library on JDK 1.6
      1. Case 8
        • step 2, Invoke open action from popup menu
          • no such action "open" action on pop up
  3. TS 61 visualdevelopment
    1. Test suite: Usability
      1. Case 1:
        •  "ctrl + Mouse" - referred for multi-selection should be noted as "command+Mouse" for MacOS
