Newline and end-of-line don't seem to be an issue as you will soon read.

For background I have CentOS running in Virtualbox with Apache and MySQL
while developing with NetBeans. Everything works as I've been developing on
the guest machine for the past few weeks with no problems; however, with
limited memory NetBeans has become a very slow on the guest machine and I'm
seeking to work on the host (Windows 7.)

I've tried about everything I could find to bridge compatibility. My results
have been a consistent "Forbidden" message when I try to load an HTML file
and an "Internal Server Error" for anything with PHP. I've tried text editors
that save in Unix format (Notepad++, Sublime Text 2), I've tried loading
working files in NetBeans, I've tried the View/Change Newline plugin for
NetBeans (a very common 'solution' I've seen), and I've tried server-side
programs like dos2unix. None of these have worked.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
