In

rt click->project properties -> module dependencies tab->select module then click Edit button->edit module dependency dialog

there is a checkbox titled "include packages in classpath" which you can leave unchecked.

What is the use case for including a module as a dependency but also NOT having it in your classpath?

Wouldn't any reference to a class defined in that module which IS a dependency but is NOT included in the classpath throw an exception? What is the use case of declaring a module to be a dependency but not having any of its classes on the classpath?

TIA.
