NetBeans uses bundled subversion client written in Java - http://svnkit.com/

I just read that subversion no longer comes with Mountain Lion
(http://superuser.com/questions/455214/where-is-svn-on-os-x-mountain-lion), and I
confirmed this by typing "svn" into Terminal and got:
-bash: svn: command not found

What I can't explain is... Netbeans still seems to be able to use subversion
just fine.  I can checkout from my remote repository and diff my local
changes and everything.

I was just curious how this is possible?  What subversion is Netbeans using?
I couldn't find any instance of svn on my system.  I'm going to install Xcode
to get svn back on my machine, but was mostly just curious as to how it's
currently working??
