I'm attempting to get Jquery to work in netbeans but it isnt working. At
least according to the instructions here

I noticed the intructions do have errors in them (pointing to different
jquery versions and the html header). But I cant find anything else on how to
get this to work.

Under the Web Pages folder I have created a folder js, with a js file called
jquery-1.4.3.js (and also tried with jquery-1.7.2 with 1.7.2 named folder).

I copy and pasted the contents directly from jquery, development version.

I also have a index.html file with the following.

 <!DOCTYPE html>
        <title>jQuery Test Project</title>
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
        <script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.3.js"></script>

        <script type="text/javascript">
        <style type="text/css">
            .blue { color: blue; }

When running the project the word test always appears in black font (not blue
as it should be). But then I dont know jquery syntax so perhaps this could be
the problem.

there are also some terms underlined as if an error/warning in the .js file,
but it seems very minor, eg, "function( window, undefined ) {" underfined
states unused.

I've only just started using netbeans so not sure whether I need something
else installed first ?
