Please pardon this simple question, doubtless answered many times, but a
search of the forum doesn't reveal quite what I'm looking for. And please
pardon my mistakenly first posting this in the users forum.

Created a NetBeans 7.2 new project, Java Web, Web application. Modified the
stock index.jsp to contain a form, whose action="/ReadConfiguration". Inside
the form is a number of elements including a text box and a submit button.
Also created a Servlet, whose source is ReadConfiguration.java, whose package
is org.hc3.configuration, and checked "put information in web.xml". If I
examine web.xml, an apparently complete reference to servlet
ReadConfiguration can be found. Deployed the app. When I run the app, I get
the index.jsp, fill in the text box, click the submit button, and get a new
browser page with the evil HTTP 404 error "requested resource cannot be
found". The URL is http://localhost:8080/ReadConfiguration.

Obviously, I'm doing something very stupid regarding making the servlet
visible to the index.jsp, but what? Thanks.
