I'm used to start my java application from the command prompt.

Using the cp option, one can declare where to search for fitting class-files,
and also, override class-files which are already defined in imported
jar-files.

for example:

java -cp .;/lib/library.jar StartClass

The -cp . option searches in the current path for .class-files. I fitting
ones are found, classes which the same name which are in library.jar are
ignored. -- perfect for patches or add-ons.
---------------------

Now, I want to do this in Netbeans too.

Through Reflection, I managed to run the main method of a class in a
jar-file. -- done.

I have written a new version of some classes and want Netbeans to run the
project with these instead of the classes defined in the library.

Please help. I really enjoy NetBeans, but this issue could be a real downer.

Thanks,
Tom from Austria
