Is it possible to debug with Netbeans xdebug between 2 separate projects?

One project is main code with 'index.php' file, second project contains some
'folders with php files' needed for the main code (but i need to have this in
separate project) . I can successfully debug the main code with index.php,
but when I try to debug the 'php' files in second project, the breakpoints
are simply igonored ..

I use Netbeans 7.2 and XDebug 2.2.1.

I tried to create a symlink reference between projects as described here
(http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5746952/xdebug-across-projects-in-netbeans),
but this did not solve the problem.

I also tried to the second project as a 'library', but this also does not
work.

I spent days trying to fix this issue, but no luck ;(
