Where is PhpProject1 located? Is it inside your htdocs directory?

Verify that:

1) Apache is running...

$> ps aux | grep httpd

2) and PHP is installed and enabled

# In your httpd.conf somewhere
LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so

3) and PhpProject1 is located at /var/www/htdocs/PhpProject1/

4) and /var/www/htdocs is defined as your docroot in httpd.conf

5) And you restarted Apache

$> sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

After 1 through 5 above, if you run the following URL:

it should work, because http://localhost/ is mapped to your docroot, which is defined in httpd.conf, and PhpProject1 is created inside there, with index.php inside there.

Any one of those things not being correct can cause any one of a variety of different errors.

Be specific with the error you get in the browser (is it a 404? 500?) and check the Apache error log as well, on Ubuntu it should be in /var/log/apache2/error.log

Hopefully that helps -
