Hi,

I'm not aware of any way of doing it and I personally think it's a bit
outside the scope of a IDE NetBeans.

I would find it more of a distraction, when I'm in a hurry I write code
without bothering to have perfect indentations and when I'm done I have
NetBeans to automatically format it form me.

Moreover, it may go in the way of other useful hinds like
undeclared/unused variables, accidental assignments, etc.

None the less is not for me to decide and I'm sure that more than one
user may find it useful, also as a didactic tool. You can submit an
enhancement request and if the developers think it's a good idea and/or
enough users vote for it there is a chance you may find it in future
NetBeans versions:

http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/

If you are interested in PHP coding standards here is some link I found
useful:

http://www.horde.org/apps/horde/docs/CODING_STANDARDS
http://pear.php.net/manual/en/standards.php
http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/coding-standard.html

Have a nice day,

Paolo
