Hi Fraifrai,

I used Eclipse only a couple of times so I'm not really sure what Java
search is.

In NetBeans there are specific searches for functions and classes. In
example you can right click on a function and select "Navigate->Go to
declaration" (ctrl+click) to find where the function is declared or you
can right click and select "Find usages" (alt+f7) which will find where
the function/class is used.

Then there is refactor which allows you to safely rename functions,
variables, classes, etc.

The navigator panel has a filter which can help.

I'm not aware of other kind of searches, but there may be more. I mostly
use the "Find in projects" so I never really explored NetBeans advanced
search functions.

Regards,

Paolo
