Thank you very much, adding flag -g was the missing part

I asume i can close this also the bug.

Still feel stupid but thanks for your time and dont giving up.

An IDE is supposed to help not make people feel bad.
And we've seen this exact problem many times before.

I've been trying to think how the IDE can possibly
improve the situation. It basically needs to give a
kind of feedback. Currently the only available feedback
that is available is too subtle. It goes as follows:

If you keep the breakpoints window open breakpoints which don't
"take" appear as broken breakpoints, i.e. a red glyph with a crack
through it. If you hover your mouse over it it will pop up
a tool-tip with an error message regarding why the breakpoint
        is "broken".
This will only work as long as the number of breakpoints is
        small

The breakpoint glyphs in the _editor_ will also go broken and
provide hover-over help as to the cause of breakage. But
this will work only if the editor is in front and the scrolled
to where the breakpoint glyphis visible.

So, in short, keeping the breakpoint window open would provide some
kind of feedback.

Why this subtlety and not something more in your face like a dialog?

That's because the IDE allows breakpoints to be placed anywhere and
then you get to Debug. The correctness of the bpt cannot be checked
until you start to Debug. But if the IDE threw up a popup for broken
breakpoints on a Debug you'd get into another problem ... If you're
switching between debugging of two programs you will have breakpoints
applicable to one or the other and for any given Debug half the breakpoints
would be broken or rather "inapplicable" and it's hard to distinguish
inapplicability from, let's say, user mistake.
