OpenGL (SDL) and Netbeans? Need help!

I recently dropped Code::Blocks due to its "random" occurring bugs.

Not to get into that. I have never used Netbeans before!
I just started working for a company, where I am in the act of developing a 
client for 3D visuals.

I had SDL and OpenGL working "fine" (that is, before strange things started 
occurring) in Code::Blocks, but I can not seem to get it working in Netbeans.
Given that I am a layman, I am not familiar with setting up the development 
space itself - those are usually pre-set.

I can compile a normal iostream based console application. Netbeans itself is 
working fine.
However, it is the SDL which is failing.

I have installed the SDL library both on my desktop (for easier reach), and 
in my MinGW folder - having followed a tutorial.

I have also worked out the system PATH directories for this!
