Hi folks,

I have been trying to build a shared library on Windows using MingW and
Netbeans but I seem to have hit a common issue (the same issue I faced with
Eclipse). When executing the final linking step for my project, Netbeans
throws the following errors:

Code:
make[2]: execvp: g++: Bad file number
make[2]: *** [dist/Release/MinGW-Windows/libSomethingLib.dll] Error 127
make[1]: *** [.build-conf] Error 2
make: *** [.build-impl] Error 2

Here is the original query
(http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/902682/#msg_902682) I posted in
the Eclipse CDT forums in which the bug was acked but is still not fixed. I'm
looking for a solution which wouldn't require me to maintain and hack custom
make files.

I also did a bit of searching around and noticed that a similar bug report
(http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=157467) was raised a while back
in which the solution given was to use a recent MingW version (20110316). But
I'm currently using 20110530 so I think I'm on a better version but the
problem still crops up. The only difference I see is that in the bug report,
the reporter is trying to use the "ar" tool whereas I'm using "g++" with the
"-shared" flag.

Can someone please help me out?

TIA,
sasuke
