I'm having problem with debugging a library that has been built outside of NetBeans. I couldn't find a way to tell debugger where the source files for that library lies other than "Source dirs" in Debug in Project settings which seems not to work for me (specified full path, waited a while, reparsed project and still I couldn't get to navigate to that source file; also while debugging I could step into headers and inlines but not the cpp files).
Does it work with the command line gdb?

My bet is that I didn't set that path to source files correctly so maybe there is other place to set those paths? Also this Source dirs in Debug has no file picker dialogue which is quite strange as all the other boxes have it.
agree, filed https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=210239

And a little off-topic but related question so I don't have to start new one and I believe it's easy to answer.. From which directory does IDE take files when debug is run? If I got std::ifstream("file.txt"), where do I place it so Debugger finds it? I tried to put it in the same directory as executable but that's not working.
It runs in the project folder or if specified - in the "Run directory" folder (specified on the Run tab),
