Okay, made a change in code to check for an argument passed in, which appears
to be working as I'm not getting the log4cxx error anymore.

This is how the code looks like.

Code:
    if (argc > 1) {
        std::cout << "Read in " << argv[1];
        log4cxx::PropertyConfigurator::configure(argv[1]);
    } else {

log4cxx::PropertyConfigurator::configureAndWatch("log4cxx.properties",60000);
    }

I specified the argument in Project Propertes -> Run -> Run Command with:
/appvol/project/<executable name> /appvol/project/log4cxx.properties

This is now the Run -> Run output I'm seeing in Netbeans Output Window.

Code:
Read in /appvol/project/log4cxx.properties
RUN FAILED (exit value 1, total time: 250ms)

Because it's printing out the argument properly, and no longer printing out
log4cxx errors, this is working.  However, I am unable to tell why it's still
pringing RUN FAILED.

Can someone provide some guidance on how to proceed?
