NetBeans Looking for Two Plugin Testers

By: jkovalsky, 14 Oct 2011

The NetBeans project is looking for two responsible volunteers from the NetBeans community to join the ranks of NetBeans Plugin Verifiers.

Do you want to improve your LinkedIn profile or CV, and you can afford to spare a few hours bi-weekly? Then apply to become one of five privileged NetBeans community members who are gatekeepers for the NetBeans Plugin Portal Update Center.

Plugin Verification is quite easy! As a Plugin Verifier, you download a plugin, perform a manual install, test that the NetBeans IDE is not broken and then uninstall the plugin. With this short test you issue your verdict. On average, NetBeans receives 13 verification requests per month; and a single verification can take about half an hour.

If this sounds interesting to you, please send an e-mail to . Don't miss this unique chance to influence how a million-plus NetBeans users can extend the NetBeans IDE.

Thank you very much!
