GlassFish ESB v2.1 Released (Based on NetBeans 6.5)

By: Admin, 18 Jun 2009

The open source project OpenESB has released a new version of GlassFish ESB. It includes NetBeans 6.5 for the design time and GlassFish for the runtime.

The OpenESB project has contributed SOA tools into NetBeans, for instance the BPEL editor and the WSDL editor. Due to release dates of OpenESB that do not coincide with the release dates of NetBeans, the latest versions of those SOA tools are currently only available from the downloads page as in the OpenESB project: the NetBeans 6.5 download from the NetBeans site includes older versions of the tools. The download from the OpenESB site also includes NetBeans editors and wizards that are not available from the NetBeans site, for example the complex event processor editor, wizards for JMS in EE, etc.

The new version of GlassFish ESB is v2.1. This new release includes support for clustering, a scheduler binding component, and a service engine for complex event processing.

The new release of GlassFish ESB can be downloaded from the OpenESB downloads page.
