NetBeans IDE 6.5 in Traditional Chinese Now Available!

By: Admin, 15 Dec 2008

The NetBeans Translation Project is proud to announce NetBeans IDE 6.5 in Traditional Chinese! The release joins Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese and other community languages in the list of multilingual versions of NetBeans 6.5; it includes localization for the NetBeans Platform, Java, Web and JavaEE UI modules.

This localization was initiated by Sun Taiwan Training Center and the Sun Globalization team. Members of the NetBeans Taiwanese Community provided additional help and support towards translation review, software testing, download page and release page translation, and more. (An extended "Thank You" goes to Koji Lin, David Lin and Barney Huang for their contribution!)

NetBeans localization is always on-going, and there's still plenty to do! Join the Traditional Chinese localization team and help to localize web tutorials on NetBeans.org and additional 6.5 modules such as Ruby, PHP, C/C++, SOA and Mobility. Or join other language teams and find out where extra help is needed.

More good news for the NetBeans Taiwanese Community to look forward to: the final version of the NetBeans Certification Exam will soon be available in Traditional Chinese. The exam and related training will be implemented using this new Traditional Chinese release of the NetBeans IDE. Stay tuned.
