NBTV: Brian Leonard's Ruby Beginnings

By: Admin, 30 Oct 2007

NetBeans Evangelists travel far and wide to deliver our gospel. NetBeans TV caught up with them on a recent (and rare) group stop in the Czech Republic where they offered a few words about themselves, NetBeans, and what it means to be evangelists.

Brian Leonard has been actively involved with NetBeans's Ruby/JRuby/Ruby-on-Rails support from Day One. His early exploration of Ruby coupled with blog entries and tutorials about his experiences have made him our resident Ruby Specialist.

In this NetBeans TV interview, he discusses his introduction to Ruby, what Ruby developers stand to gain from trying out NetBeans 6.0, the impact of NetBeans's Ruby support for other dynamic languages, and more. Tune in!
