Go Multilingual with NetBeans IDE 5.5.1!

By: Admin, 05 Jun 2007

Our efforts to standardize the NetBeans experience across the spectrum of languages continues with the Multilingual Releases of the NetBeans 5.5.1 IDE in Brazilian Portuguese (100% community contributed), Japanese, and Simplified Chinese!

And we are reaching out to future developers and programmers as well! NetBeans 5.5.1 BlueJ Edition—a version of the popular BlueJ tool that prepares students for migration to a full-fledged IDE—is also available in the same three languages.

(German and Spanish (100% community contributed) have been added to the current NetBeans IDE 5.5 edition which includes Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.)

Download your preferred language version of NetBeans 5.5.1 today and give us your feedback. Better yet, spread the word about it by giving demos, talks, hands-on labs or presentations with your localized NetBeans 5.5.1 IDE.

Did you know that some of the recent language releases at NetBeans have been community driven? Find out how users just like you have created language versions—Brazilian Portuguese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, and German—of the NetBeans IDE.

Interested in translating parts or all of the IDE and pages on into your language? Visit the Translation Project page for details.
