Open the advanced options and there on the left side "Editoreinstellungen". You can see, some editors are named "(Type) - Editor" and some are "Type Editor" (without the hyphen) - see attached image. This needs to be equalized. Proposal is without the hyphen (just subjective, cos it looks better) Affected files (to remove the hyphen): translatedfiles\src\xml\css\src\org\netbeans\modules\css\text\syntax\Bundle_de.properties Line: 20 translatedfiles\src\html\editor\src\org\netbeans\modules\html\editor\options\Bundle_de.properties Line: 18 translatedfiles\src\web\jspsyntax\src\org\netbeans\modules\web\core\syntax\Bundle_de.properties Line: 24 The next two are for the SQL-Editor. It's quite unclear, which one is the related, so better change both. translatedfiles\src\db\core\src\org\netbeans\modules\db\core\Bundle_de.properties Line: 22 translatedfiles\src\db\sqleditor\src\org\netbeans\modules\db\sql\editor\Bundle_de.properties Line: 18 translatedfiles\src\xml\text- edit\src\org\netbeans\modules\xml\text\syntax\Bundle_de.properties Line: 20 translatedfiles\src\xml\text- edit\src\org\netbeans\modules\xml\text\syntax\Bundle_de.properties Line: 24 Affected files (to add the hyphen): translatedfiles\src\editor\plain\src\org\netbeans\modules\editor\plain\options\Bundle_de.properties Line: 18 translatedfiles\src\java\editor\src\org\netbeans\modules\java\editor\options\Bundle_de.properties Line: 18 translatedfiles\src\properties\syntax\src\org\netbeans\modules\properties\syntax\Bundle_de.properties Line: 46

I chose the vaiant with a hyphen instead -- thanks for always providing the URIs!
It seems changes for the fix wasn't committed against CVS, so this issue is still visible for a user and by that open.
sorry, committed the change now
Set to "Closed" with one remark: All editors are using hyphens now, but the "Einfacher Editor" does not. This looks somewhat weird. The solutions without hyphens would have been the better one. :(
PS: I see no alternative since both "Java Editor / HTML Editor" etc and "Javaeditor / Htmleditor" etc are against German orthography. (Deppenleerzeichen rule and "gestoerter Lesefluss an Fugen" rule). And "Einfach-Editor" doesn't sound better either... "Standard-Editor" maybe?
Of course, thus the issue is closed. The missing hyphen on "Einfacher Editor" doesn't disturb with the "Gestoerter Lesefluß"-rule as the original problems do. "Standard-Editor" is misleading wording, as of most users are coding in Java, what means, for them the Javaeditor is the default one. I still think it would be better to use: XML Editor HTML Editor CSS Editor ... But maybe we could omit the usage of the word "Editor"? The corresponding option is called "Editoreinstellungen", so the word "Editor" is somewhat a duplication. What about asking the list? But nonetheless, I think the current version is the best choice for now. Maybe a better solution would come up, with the translation of NB6? :)
