Description suyuktibn 2007-03-21 13:49:13 UTC
Problem Description :

With respect to the below URL :
http://www.netbeans.org/kb/55/blackberry.html , I have made the setup for
Blackbery Development.I also created a project with "Hello Midlet" option
selected. I selected a table, text box from the palette options and dropped on
the Screen Design. When I choose to run the project with the default J2ME
wireless emulator, I see the table. But, when I choose the custom emulator, I
the table appears as a darkened black coloured block.
Netbeans Version Used : 5.5
Netbeans Mobility Pack for CLDC/MIDP 5.5
Blackberry JDE 1.4

Steps to Replicate:
As per http://www.netbeans.org/kb/55/blackberry.html :
1)Add the Blackberry JDE as a custom emulator
2)Create a Blacberry project (But, with the option "Hello Midlet selected"
3)Drag the tableitem option into the screen design
3)Set the device emulator as J2ME wireless emulator and run the project the
table appears properly
4)Set the device emulator as Customer Emulator and run the project. The table
appears as a dark black image.

I have screenshots to explain this case. (Screen Shots numbered ONE to SIX)

it is known issue of BlackBerry device/emulator. You have to solve it by hand.
Look at the duplicate issue and issue 79625. There are some hints how to use the
ColorSchema class.

thnak you for the report
