Description symmetry 2007-02-14 01:22:26 UTC
When I launch NB I get a red blinking icon in the lower right corner of the
IDE. It states that I have a NullPointerException and
MissingResourceException. The latter I can understand, due to the fact that I
removed J2ME 2.2 and 2.3 WTK recently in favor of the 2.5 WTK, but apparently
it's still looking for this, and I don't know how to remove the old settings.
Could this possibly cause NB's update center to malfunction, since the update
center doesn't function at all even when I manually try to update.

On a side note, when I have NB running and ZoneAlarm on then turn ZA off, the
system crashes and I get the BSOD, otherwise they both operate correctly. Who
would be responsible for such interoperability issues?

Thanks for reporting, it's a duplicate of issue 72102. As workaround you can
remove the broken setting via Options|Advanced options|Autoupdate Types or
delete your userdir and start IDE w/ fresh dir.

module manager subcomponent is gone => resolved issues are assigned to
autoupdate/code
