I like the proposed API support "Support reusable editor tab"
(http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=94607)
I propose the client of this API to behave like Firefox:
- when user reviews code and use left click hyperlinking => "reusable editor" is
reused
- when user middle click while hyperlinking => new "reusable tab" is opened.
Note:if document is modified => it has "non-reusable" state

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
