Description bugbridge 2007-02-05 19:55:26 UTC
Original status: 5-Cause Known; Suggested Status: NEW

Original Target Release: mako_dev; Suggested Target Milestone : Dev

These items should be added to the Keywords: RELNOTE

Original submitter: mikhailmatveev

Description:
1. Open rowset for some table
2. Add few other tables via "Add Table..." popup menu item.
3. Try to D&D one more table from Servers windows.

Result:
Imagine minimal rectangle which contains all existing table frames. If D&D is
performed to INSIDE of this rectanlge, it fails. If it is performed to OUTSIDE
of this rectangle, it succeeds.

Evaluation:
Cause known but fixing this for thresher may not be worth the risk. The
workaround is to use "Add Table" popup. I am not sure if this should be a P2.

Workaround:
Use "Add table..." popup menu item to add tables

Workaround (Entry 2):
Use "Add table..." popup menu item to add tables

I can't reproduce this, but I didn't open a rowset in step 1, I just opened the query editor and added some tables to
it. It isn't possible to DnD a table from Services to the query editor, although the editor does look like a drop
target. Should this be supported?
Comment 2 David Vancouvering 2007-10-09 22:09:37 UTC
yes, it makes a lot of sense to be able to DnD a table onto the visual query editor view.
Comment 3 Andrei Badea 2007-10-10 14:03:11 UTC
A valid defect then.

This is not a regression and currently works as designed. So D & D is an enhancement.

Move visualsqleditor subcomponents below visualweb
