Description:
NetBeans 4.1 supports Java 5 so why not Creator?

By hacking the properties, in current builds, it might be possible for a user to
enable
Java 5

When App Servers support Java 5 then ?

Evaluation:
This involves lots of different areas of the product.  Currently we bundle jdk5
and configure Creator to run with this.  But PE still run on jdk 1.4.2 and all
the web applications generated (source & build) with jdk target = 1.4.

There is a related PE bug 6322269. PE version 9 will support jdk 5.

This enhancement has been delivered in NB 6.0.  NB 6.0 release and beyond is being planned as the migration path for
Creator users.
