In the branding area, one thing missing is module-level branding. If someone contributes a module to an application (e.g., the IDE) they'd like to either (1) add a few lines of module-specific info to the existin About box or (2) add an additional panel to the About box, specifically dedicated to their module. This sounds like the same way that the Options API works -- either extend the existing Miscellaneous panel or create a new panel. This suggesion might sound trivial, but is really useful for users (evidence upon request) and adds to our branding story. Also, a wizard to support this new API would be useful.
Please do not use apisupport component for issues with the platform itself; apisupport is only the build harness and the module/suite project types.
This would have to be defined from UI point of view first. Jano, xDesign team was planning to push About box redesign. Any spec available?
If possible also add copy to clipboard functionaly, so it is easy to copy and paste about the current environment eg: version, build number, classpath, etc Because currently the only ways to send to content of about dialog is using screen capture
This feature is essential for Rich Client Applications.
Not agreed upon UI spec with xDesign. Removing plan60 flag for now.
Guys is there any plans to resolve this now we have moved passed 6.0
