This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
In current Bugzilla, newly created bugs produce notification messages with titles such as: [module-bugs] [Bug 9999] New - Some description whereas any change to this produces a message titled like: [module-bugs] [Bug 9999] Changed - Some description When you are subscribed to bug lists and get a lot of messages, the two kinds of messages do not form threads together: all of the New ones can be far apart in your inbox from the Changed ones (which do thread). I would much prefer e.g.: [module-bugs] [Bug 9999] Some description which would thread them all together (especially when someone creates a bug and then immediately an attachment), so I would not waste time going to the website to see if it had been assigned properly etc. Granted this scheme will not work when the title changes. *Ideally* it would use message IDs to thread the messages properly and the title would be irrelevant, but I don't know if that would be easy to do in Bugzilla (would require that a bug also store associated previous email message IDs for threading purposes).

We're including dramatically more flexibility in subject lines for IZ update mails in SC1.3.
Administrative Change; SC1.3 has been renamed SC2.0.
This has been fixed in the 2.0 release of SourceCast. During the upgrade to that release we can verify or reopen if necessary.
In 2.6 these are configurable. Verified.
