It is impossible for me to download the NetBeans 3.1 release (NetBeans-
release31-34.zip) and the extra binaries for 3.1 sources (NetBeans-release31-34-

I am unable to reproduce this, trying from several browsers,
and several seperate locations.

Hmm, I've just done some looking around on Microsoft's knowledge
base.  Are you using IE on a Win platform ?  If so, there seem to
be a whole slew of download problems that produce exactly this msg.  Try
going to http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp?fr=0&SD=GN&LN=EN-US
and searching for a chunk of that error msg.  Several are problems
when the webserver is IIS - netbeans.org is Apache, so that's not it.
Most promising looks like article Q183506, which involves incorrect
permissions on files or directories on your local machine.  Search
for that article number for details of a fix.

I'm marking this closed, assuming this is indeed the problem.  If this
does not work, please reopen, including more details if possible - are
you able to download from other sites ?  Are other filetypes also failing,
or only zip ?  Thanks.
