Description julieg 2006-12-01 17:59:42 UTC
The legal notice for
Help-> Help Contents -> C and C++ Development
should be dated 1997-2007.

We need this bug fixes for SunStudio 12 EA which is scheduled for
January/February 2007.
Comment 1 julieg 2007-01-11 01:22:04 UTC
The bug fixes is needed for Mars EA.
Comment 2 Ann Rice 2007-01-22 21:34:36 UTC
I have updated the legal notice in the online help for C/C++ Development Pack
5.5.1. This does not affect the online help for Sun Studio 12 because the C/C++
Development Pack help is not visible in Sun Studio 12. The online help for Sun
Studio 12 is a new helpset, and the legal notice in this helpset is correct for
2007 release.
Comment 3 julieg 2007-01-24 22:57:52 UTC
In Sunstudio12 Help->Help Contents-> C and C++ Development
the legal still says 1997-2004. Is this a build problem in
Sunstudio 12?

There is a 2nd license problem. The last sentance of the 1st paragraph
ends in "A copy of the license is available at ??" (the ?? is in red and
slightly lower than the rest of the text).
Comment 5 _ gordonp 2007-01-24 23:43:35 UTC
I googled CDDL and quickly found what "??" should point to. It should
probably be one of http://www.sun.com/cddl or http://www.sun.com.cddl/cddl.html.
The latter is the actual text of the CDDL while the former is a higher level.
Comment 6 _ gordonp 2007-03-06 16:46:58 UTC
As of today (March 6th) the C/C++ help still has the wrong date and
references the SPL license rather than CDDL.
Comment 7 Ann Rice 2007-03-06 23:03:51 UTC
Correct legal notice file has been committed to C/C++ Development Pack 5.5.1
