Description kohsuke 2006-11-07 22:10:10 UTC
For the consistent metaphor, every "file open" operation should be exposed via
"File > Open File" menu. If every different file format offers its own way of
opening a file, it would be a mess!
Comment 1 Jiri Sedlacek 2006-11-08 12:47:53 UTC
I agree, will be fixed as a part of tighter integration of Profiler 6.0 with
IDE.
Comment 2 Jiri Sedlacek 2007-06-27 15:12:30 UTC
Unfortunately not for 6.0, tighter integration will be designed & implemented for next release based on users feedback
on profiler 6.0 as a first version built in the IDE.

Changing priority to P4 as no users reported not to be able to find Load Snapshot action. But keeping in mind that this
should be polished and integrated into standard IDE workflow.

Comment 5 Jaroslav Tulach 2009-04-07 08:55:58 UTC
Can the issue be reevaluated and my patch applied for 6.7?
Comment 6 Jiri Sedlacek 2009-05-05 10:18:05 UTC
Patch integrated, .nps files can be opened using File | Open or from Favorites browser. Note that it doesn't fix this
issue, will be resolved by introducing a general profiling framework.

Jardo, please verify the patch:

Comment 7 Tomas Hurka 2011-02-03 10:56:43 UTC
Lowering priority to P4, since "File > Open File" menu can be used to open profiler snapshots.
Comment 8 Jiri Sedlacek 2015-03-16 11:21:43 UTC
Fully fixed in the redesigned profiler UI.
